Movie night
The glow makes a laptop feel like a small cinema. The island keeps the title and sound bars in view.

Glance turns the top of your Mac into a live island. It glows with your films, cheers your team's goals and asks before Claude Code runs a command. Free and open source.
Click the island to explore every view and setting. ⌘K palette, Esc close, ⌃⌥V clipboard, double-tap Right ⌥ to knock.
No notch on your Mac? Glance floats the same island as a pill.
Cinema mode
Start a video in Chrome. Glance notices right away.
Ribbons of colour sweep through the island. A short intro, then the show.
A soft glow spreads around your screen. It follows the film, shot by shot.
On Macs with a Touch Bar, it glows too. Tap it or press Esc to stop.
Protected streams cannot be read. There, Glance uses your accent colour.
Scroll to see each mode. Or tap the dock.
A glow around your screen in the colours of the video. The island opens each film with a short intro.
Live scores sit in the island. When your team scores, it bursts into a goal celebration.
Approve or deny a command without leaving your work. See your usage. Get a little party when you push to GitHub.
Your script scrolls as you speak. It is hidden from screen sharing, so only you can see it.
Artwork, controls and the current lyric line. Works with the apps you already use.
Drop files, links or text on the island. Drag them out later, wherever you need them.
One tap stops your Mac from sleeping. Pick a time or keep it on until you say stop.
Type what you want. Start a timer, keep awake, open the shelf. All from the keyboard.
On a Mac with a notch, Glance grows out of it. Without one, it floats as a pill.
Older MacBook Pro? The Touch Bar lights up with the film and gets a button to turn Glance on and off.
Glance stays out of the way until something matters. Then it is right where you look.
The glow makes a laptop feel like a small cinema. The island keeps the title and sound bars in view.
Approve commands from the island. Watch your usage. Celebrate every push.
Read your notes while you look at the camera. Your audience never sees them.
Follow the score while you work. Kick off, half time and full time arrive as small peeks.
Ten modes, plus the small things you reach for all day.
A Chrome extension reads the colours of the playing video. Your screen edges glow to match.
Pick your team. Goals, kick off, half time and red cards show up as they happen.
See the full command and the project. Allow or deny with one key. Nothing runs without you.
The script follows your voice. Screen sharing and recordings leave it out.
Play, pause and skip from any app. The current lyric line sits under the title.
Park files for later. Find your last 50 copies. All of it stays on your Mac.
Stop your Mac from sleeping for a set time, or until you turn it off.
Every action, one shortcut away. Type a few letters and press Return.
Grows out of the notch. Floats as a glassy pill on Macs and screens without one.
Based on what notch apps commonly offer. Check each app for yourself.

Yes. Switch to the pill shape and the island floats at the top of your main display.
A small Chrome extension reads the colours of the playing video. If a site blocks that, it takes a tiny snapshot of that one tab twice a second and throws it away at once. Nothing is saved. Protected streams cannot be read, so Glance uses your accent colour there.
No. Glance never allows a command for you. If you do not answer in about a minute, the question goes back to your terminal.
Yes. Glance marks the teleprompter so screen sharing and recordings leave it out. Only you see it.
From a public scores feed. No club badges ship with the app.
The app is not notarised yet. Right click the app and choose Open, or build it from source. Both are in the README.
